StorySlice

Split long videos into story-length clips. Your videos never leave your phone.

Coming soon to Google Play For Android 7.0 and later.

StorySlice splits a long video into back-to-back clips that fit Stories, Status updates and short-video apps, so you can post all of it without trimming a second.

How it works

  1. Choose a video, or share one to StorySlice from your gallery.
  2. Pick a length: a preset for Instagram Stories and Reels, WhatsApp Status, YouTube Shorts, X or TikTok, or any length you like in seconds.
  3. Share the clips. They're saved to a StorySlice album in your gallery, ready to share in one go.

Why StorySlice

StorySlice is free and shows an ad when a split finishes. A one-time purchase removes ads for good.

Questions

Where are my clips saved?

In a StorySlice album in your phone's gallery (the Movies/StorySlice folder). The History screen in the app lists them by split, and deleting them there removes them from your gallery.

Why was one of my clips re-encoded?

A clip can only be copied without re-encoding if it starts on a keyframe, a full picture the video stores every second or so. If your chosen length is shorter than the gap between keyframes (very short lengths, or screen recordings, which have few keyframes), StorySlice re-encodes that clip at a high bitrate so it can still be cut exactly.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Splitting works offline. The app uses the internet only to show ads and send crash reports, never for your videos.

I bought Remove ads. How do I get it on a new phone?

Install StorySlice with the same Google account and open it. The purchase is restored automatically.

How do I turn off crash reports?

Open Settings in the app and turn off Send crash reports.
